For Maja Nagel, the creation of the adaptation of the Chilean song of the same name was the first step into working with animation. She would have liked to have had more influence on the film as a whole. Accordingly, she also took over the direction of her later projects in order to be able to try herself out completely as a painter. Nadja Rademacher

"At the end of the 1980s, at the height of the digital revolution, I became aware of the creeping decline and impending end of 16mm film, the medium I had chosen for my art. I travelled to the Galapagos Islands to mourn both the dwindling of light due to air pollution and the decline of the film. This Memento Mori is dedicated to the things I love." (Barbara Hammer)
"Eight men, who produced gas and coke together over a long distance, stand before an incisive stage in their working lives, [...] which seems like a nostalgic swan song to a place of work, which one certainly cursed many times because of its heaviness and the dirt of its activity, but now describes in pink colors." (Photocinema Magazine, 1/1988)

The oldest briquette factory in Senftenberg, a Cottbus fashion show at TKC and a Nosferatu adaptation - the GDR amateur film was extremely diverse. The Filmmuseum Potsdam gives an insight into the project "Amateurfilm im Land Brandenburg". Before Tom Zickler and Fayd Jungnickel started to Hollywood in 1989, they turned this Nosferatu adaptation around the well-known GDR canned fish.

The high art of animated short stories - Piotr Dumałas Cartoons almost always manage without dialogue and still tell stories: about the wolf in man, about the "black cap", about fairy tale characters from space, about Franz Kafka's life or about Dostoevsky's "guilt and atonement". A sleeping man suddenly... dissipates. Individual body parts lead their own lives. When the alarm rings, they return. Surprised, however, the man discovers that he is missing a leg...
